Hi all I’m still having the problem of chapter freezing at every chapter. I know it’s not my DVD-r’s because I have tested them same movie on 5 different DVD-r’s. They are Sony,TDK, Memorex, Verbatim, and Pioneer at a cost of around 100 bucks. The test movie was The world is not Enough, they all had freezing at the same points. Thought it was my set top player took all 5 disk to Best Buy and tested them there same thing Freezing at chapters.
Now this is what im doing First I ripe the main movie and the all IFO’s for the main movie. Then I use infoEdit to strip some thing out of the movie and save it all to a new directory, this is just to get the main movie in hopes to fit it all on one DVD this method usually works I have done many movie like this and they work great no freezing at all. After that I test the movie in Power DVD xp it works great no freezing.
Now I have to loser the bit rate to get the movie to fit on one disk so you have to use ReMPEG2. Now I have tried this both ways using a CLL file, and using Filemerger and yes my computer is formatted in NTFS im using win2k. Every thing seems to work ok both ways when I use ReMPEG2.
Now that I have a movie that is small enough to put on a DVD-R I use InfoEdit to Re-Mux the file back in to a DVD and I get all VTS sectors save every thing, and finally try the DVD with power DVD it plays fine on my computer with no freezing burn the dvd and it Freezes on my set top.
Can any on tell me what im doing wrong so far I have Five movies that are doing this and I think 4 others they are not in front of me. Small Solders, Devil’s Advocate, Stealing Beauty, That Thing you Do, and The world is not Enough. HELP HELP PLEASEJ
