I have been having a terrible time with audio /video synch when using TMPGEnc...I have a perfectly fine AVI but when I go to encode it to MPEG2 it becomes unsynched..I have tried several things suggested to me but none seem to work...Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix my problem...I am encoding at 23.97 fps and at 48000khz as I want to be able to burn the MPEG2 file to DVD....Also after using this program I get a message MPEG2 SYS ( non DVD Compliant) when I use DVD Complete by Dazzle...Does anyone know why I get this message? Do I have to be at a certain FPS before it will burn to DVD?

I'm not a expert on tmpenc, but I have found that its audio support is lacking. What I did to solve the sync problems was load the avi in vdub save the audio into wav format only. Then use the dos wav2mp utility that I believe doom has. It converts it to a mp2 audio. Then you just use the mpegtools within tmpenc to multiplex them back together. I think there's a faster better method, but hey its worked so far for me. Sorry cannot help you on the compliant problem.
