Colour saturation

I converted chicken run movie to svcd with svcd temp and vcd temp in TMPG latest, Cbr-Vbr svcd high quality and cbr in vcd high quality but both mpgs had this every couple of seconds in the movie the colour around the animation characters gets more colour and more and then suddenly its fine for another little while and then it starts again(the colour which is prominant is purple i think)
