Hi!

PowerDVD gives me an error message: "The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation"

I used DVD2SVCD 1.08 b1 and everything went just fine: ripping etc. But when I burned the SECOND cd-r with Nero 5.5.8.0, result was the previous error message.. First cd works just ok. Iīhave tried to play the 2nd muxed file, itīs just fine. I can tell you, I tried it many times and several cdrīs

Unfortunatelly i dont have any log at the moment, but Iīll get one if necessary. If some genius can say the solution right away, it would be highly appreciated.

Thankīs in advance!

Have you tried using the foolproof method posted above?
Have you tried using VCDEasy?
Have you tried CDRWIN?
Have you tried mounting the 2nd Cue file in Daemon tools and trying to play it in PowerDVD XP?

I can't tell you how many times it's been posted here that Nero is not always reliable.

Thank you for your answer Mark. I havenīt tried none of those thigns you mentioned above. Itīs allways possible that Nero is the reason for errors, but my friend has tried similar methods as I and no problems.

We have compared the DVD2SVCD settings, same settings - different results. I have tried it with using TMPGenc and CCE (new versions) it just wonīt work. Iīm starting to believe you, it has to be Nero which causing troubleīs.

Ok, I can allways burn the muxed file with Neroīs SVCD plugin,it works, but itīs just like cpr in this case. DVD2SVCD is so great bundle of software and easy to use (if all ok.)Therefore I would like to use it all the way, from start to toaster ;-)

Iīll try those CDRWIN and Daemon tools, thanks again!

Nero to me is like a Hooker with a chastity belt.

If you can find the key it works right, otherwise your just fiddlin.

These words of knowledge come to you care of not enough sleep.

I tried to run images(3) with Daemon tools and everything went ok. So the trouble maker is Nero, who just retired from my DVD2SCVD processing. Thanks Mark for your help!

I get the same probs aspi but I usualy only watch the discs on my DVD player anyway. It works just fine. Definitely an odd problem though. You'll see that if you put the disc in your CD-ROM drive it only recognises it as having about 1 meg on it. Disc 1 is quite happy though.
Daemon Tools seems the way to go.
