(S)VCD > DivX

Hey,

Im pretty new at (S)VCD converting, so I need your suggestions on this ;)
I read Doom9's guide for converting vcd > divx, but he only stated how to convert it using 4.12 (1 pass as Variable Bitrate Mode) & 3.11 ( all the default values except that you lower the bitrate to the same region) codec.
I want to convert using the 5.0 codec, which encodig method should I use?

There is not much difference between DivX 4.12 and 5.xx.
You need to experiment a lot, and see how it affects quality.

Also, method depends from that what you want - 1 CD rip, 2 CD rip...

2 pass with GTC and B-frames gives best results.

Well..how much CD's doesnt really matter, I just want the best quality result...
