how do i get the timer to work?

how do i use dvd2svcd to get the timer to work on my standalone DVD player. i have a pioneer, and when i play SVCD's that are ripped with dvd2svcd, it only says PBC Play , or something like that.

If you want to see the timer on the Pioneer, you must start the movie without PBC (Playback Control). To do this press the "1" or "next" button on your remote, to start the movie instead of the "Play" button.
Now here's the catch:
If you do this you won't be able to use the chapter function to search through your movie.

but i've seen on some vcd's, it automatically comes up with the timer.

These are not VCD's. The file structure is totally different.

Do a search and you will find much information on this.
