Using CCE 2.64 Premiere plug-in and TMPG Enc both default and MPEG standard GOP structures I am getting this error when importing the clip to Spruce up or Maestro: Temporal References in GOP #blah blah blah (Zero-based) are out of sequence (0xc10b0001). The streams both encoders are creating are not DVD compliant (according to the authoring software anyway). Sometimes if I try the import again I can get passed where there was an error previously, but then another error comes up later (need to do 2 hour movie, some shorter clips will import without the error but the problem doesnt seem to be consistent with any settings used, just whenever it feels like it). Using a stream cleaner on the bad mpegs doesn't help, it doesn't even notice the problem. If this is just related to the default GOP structures being bad, I would expect to see alot more posts from first time users encountering the same problem. What else should I be looking at here, I am stuck!?:stupid:

hi,

I do have the same error message with bad dvb streams (errors in picture reference). I never thought this could be a cce problem.

regards,

mike

I'd like to see your GOP settings.

Just for starters,

PAL = max 15 frames (or 30 fields)

NTSC = max 29.97 frames etc.

But I also need to know the exact GOP SRUCTUREs you are creating (i.e how many I,P, & B frames you are creating per GOP)

Without seeing the exact settings you are using, it is virtually impossible to ascertain where your problem might stem from. I'm also taking-as-read that you are using PAL MPEGs where your Spruce project is set to PAL, and NTSC where your Spruce project is set to NTSC.

Please post your encoding settings...
