I did a search and I did not see this discussed anywhere else so I will go ahead and ask the question.

If use use a Stripped Volume (Hard Drive) with DVD2SVCD, will I get a increase in speed?

A stripped volume increases the performance of your read/writes to your hard drive and since DVD2SVCD does alot of that, you would think that it would.

Anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks

It might help to different degrees with each program.

I can see it helping the most with
BBmpeg, VCDXBuild and BeSweet since they tend to be more write intensive.

It may help to a smaller degree with CCE and DVD2AVI, but those programs tend to be CPU and Memory intensive more so then hard drive intensive.

I guess if you have it use it, but I wouldn't go spending alot of money for it. If you have less then 384mb's then spend the money on memory. I think you would see a better increase of speed using the same amount of money and adding it to what you are going to spend on a CPU and get a faster one.
If you have other applications that you need it for then it will help.
