Negotiator, problem DVD?

Has anyone had problems backing up "The Negotiator" DVD? I don't see any posts on it. This is the only DVD I've had trouble backing up. I get the CCE lockup about 40% through, but I've never had it happen before. I might be able to get it to work using Safe Mode, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with this DVD.

What version of dvd2svcd are you using? If you are not using the latest version i would recommend downloading it from this site.
Also have you tried going in to dvd2svcd and then go in to the encoding tab uncheck the Anti Noise Filter.?


1 more thing all posts that are reports of problems or if you have a question on how to get something working go strictly in the basic topics.

Sorry about that. I had seen a few posts about problem DVDs and I thought I had seen them in the Advanced forum. Maybe not.

Anyway, I have the newest version and I might give it a shot with the filter turned off. Do you not think safe mode will fix the problem, or are you just pretty sure it's the filter? I'd rather sacrifice time (safe mode) over quality (filter).

you will notice that there are many reasons CCE could fail. In this thread alone 2 seperate reasons seemed to have been found and one seems to be the noise filter in CCE. You can try safe mode, but if it doesn't work try killing the noise filter too.
