Hello everybody,
after upgrading from D2S 107 b4 to D2S 108 b1 all my problems with the last missing seconds on Disc 1 had gone. (Thanx DVD2SVCD)
Because I always encode SVCD's with two audiotracks AND one selectable subtitle, I encountered problems with my SEG DVD Player which is a Yamakawa Clone. The pictures showed blocky artifacts and the movie sometimes stopped for a few seconds. The Pioneer Player of my pal played it all correctly so I managed to find out that the bitrate of 2850 was too high for my SEG. I am using 160 kbs for both the Audio tracks. In the bitrate tap I did put 2400 as the maximum value and also tried to balance the max average value down to 2150. My thought was, that if I decrease the max, I must also decrease the average about half of the value. Could anyone please explain if there is a relation between these two values that leed to problems in Quality or so ?
Anyway, since this reduction, my SVCD's are having again the problem of the missing seconds of Disk 1. I have two say that I always r*p in two steps with the original chapters as cut points. The start of the new chapter on Disc 2 is allright but on Disk 1 up to 6 seconds are missing.
I would appreciate if someone could help me with this
