I'm trying to convert from an input MPEG-2 file to an SVCD-compliant MPEG-2 output file and am having great difficulty getting all the various tools working for me... it would be super if DVD2SVCD would allow me to either feed in an AVS file or even the source MPG... is there any chance support like this might be added? I would imagine adding support for the MPG file would be pretty minor, and maybe AVS too depending upon how AVI file are read (AVIFile interface? custom?).

I am not sure about this, but try using PVA2SVCD, it might work. Remember to use this version of PVAStrumento:

PVA is actually DVB files (Satellite captured files), but PVAStrumento is also able to handle normal mpeg2 files.

Thanks for that great piece of info dvd2svcd.
Just what I was looking for instead of the long way I was using for this type of conversion :)

CCE keeps freezing when I use this but it works fine with tmpgenc.
Do you need to use some different settings other than default to get CCE to work.
Thanks
