Hi,

iv you have a pal dvd it better to deinterlace, than the picture is better to show on pc , cause it dont flicker, but it takes longer time as no - interlace.

change the passes to 3 as vbr.

using the bicubic resize takes the longest time , but its the highest quality, the bilinear is about 10 % faster , the quality is quite good, the fastest is simple resize its very fast, the quality is good. my first encoding was with simple resize and i was happy abouth my first result.

now im using bicubic , but it takes much more time.

my system is a AMD athlon 1400c 512 kb infineon sd ram, 2 x 20 gb 5400 rpm ide raid,
my speed in cce is about 0.76 , and i think the speed is good, i de interlace the movie because its pal. in ntsc the process should be faster.

my question for all user is!!

is the speed good? my feeling says its okay, but now i would like to hear other oppinions!!!

A very common post and there are way to many factors to say one way or the other for sure.

If you have standard Sdram and not DDRAM then your speed seems very good, considering it's PAL, but like I said it's very hard to tell.

Best bet is to use standard benchmark software like Sisoft Sandra and hit a computer hardware site like www.amdmb.com and compare the computer speed with them.
