I have seen the new "unresize" option in DVD2SVCD and wonder if this is a good idea for below 2.5K bitrates. I quite fancy keeping the whole resolution and my Pioneer can safely play 720x576 SVCDs, but I feel that at these bitrates higher blockiness may occur and so overall quality may actually be lower than 480x576.
Has anyone performed any head-to-head comparisons between standard SVCD res and DVD res at same bitrates and what do you suggest? I would try it myself but only got a lame Celeron...
