Hi,
this is the most easiest thing in the whole story.
0) Compile your project to Video_TS / Audio_TS folder set
1) Update PxEngine: http://www.prassieurope.com/Prassi_Px_Engine_Update.exe
2) Open PrimoDVD
3a) New DATA Job
3b) Don't change anything else in the settings !!!
4) Drag and drop your Video_TS /Audio_TS folder set into file window from Explorer
5) Double Click your burner (upper left corner)
6) Change / Give a DVD_NAME
7) Set Procedure (Test only, Test & Burn, Test, Burn & Verify etc. as you like, I recommend you do a Test Burn, saved me a couple of Raw Media already)
8) Insert blank media, wait while watching the status window, it'll change/highlight the media detection twice, when ready click the Red Record Button
9) Go get a beer
10a) Get another beer if you did Test
10b) Get another beer if you did Verify
11) Take your ready burned DVD-R to your standalone and enjoy, while having another beer
12) Proceed drinking beer while watching the Movie
...

P.S.
Only Drink and Burn, Don't Drink and Drive !

Hi mikeathome
Just wondered if your still using the 1passVBR in CCE with Q=30 to 40? I recently did a wedding DVD 2passVBR with an avg. bitrate of 4500kbps, and it turned out good thanks to your previous post about interlaced video. My svcd to dvd lotrproject worked out nicely too. I'm about to go back to DVDs now and that's why I ask about the 1passVBR.
Have you standardized on whether to use Q=30 for 2.35:1 movies and Q=40 for 4:3 movies or does it still vary from film to film?

Hi,
yes, I still prefer OPVBR Q:30 (40),
and, yes it depends on the movie.
Most of the time I try Q:30 even with 1.85:1 but if the movie is really long (> 2 hours) and/or has lots of action I'll give Q:40 a try. I don't like going above 40. I'd rather change to 3passVBR using Robshot's handoptimization. So it pretty depends.
The one-and-only compromise I'd to do so far was Saving Private Ryan where I calculated average bitrate beforehand and fixed it to this (was 3.300 btw). Was not a nice procedure for me, since I am a perfectionist but came out at reasonable good quality (took horrible long ~19 hours, have only a slow CPU).
