Hi,

What file size am I aiming for to completely fill a 4.7g DVD-R ?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that I can only write 4.38 gig to a 4.7g DVD-R ? I notice in Maestro as I add my assetts, there is an indicator (bottom right screen in GREEN) that tells my the size of the assetts I've added to the current project. What maximum size am I aiming for here ?

Thanks

Fletch

Hi,

Forget Maestros numbers. I've the feeling the get created randomly.

In your source folder mark all REAL Assets and get their size from explorer. Add ~100-150MB overhead. This will give you a better estimation than Maestro does. It'll become a bit tricky when you cut assets in Maestro. Remember the reduction Maestro shows you and take that into your Explorer calculation.

I don't know why, but Maestro most often fails when it comes to final size calculation. I had a DVD where Maestro showed 5.7GIG and it came out at 4.375GIG (so right on track).

Maximum is 4.700.000.000 bytes = 4.377 GIG (divisor is 1.024 !)
