You know, it amazes me that Doom9 allows a thread like this and people talking about stealing movies like LOTR, but closed my thread asking for a simple (and legal) barter for a copy of Scenarist. I doubt any Scenarist users here paid for it anyway. No offense, but it seems rather hypocritical to me. ;)

Well if you go to the page and look at the webpage it is not a warez sight and the version of SpruceUp that is there is the trial version plus you can buy other software off the page so take how ever you wont. AI found the page and since spruceup is no longer availble i thought it woud be nice to let every one that their are still some sight that have the software availble for download. I do have a crack but it dose not unlock the AC3 part for the software. That probably why it is not locked not even close to being a woarez sight.

Look at the link. All it is doing is pointing to the TRIAL version of SpruceUp. All perfectly legal.

If you guys want to go ahead and try to find a crack for this TRIAL version of SpruceUp, that's up to you. And is clearly not in keeping with the spirit of the forum.

Am I to believe that people using this forum have paid in the region of £15,000 (excluding VAT) for Scenarist! That's how much I have seen it advertised for here in the UK. If that is the type of money you guys have I don't see the point in copying DVDs 'cos you might as well buy the originals and stop wasting your time with all this. Lets not beat around the bush. I bet that 85-95% of the users on this forum are not legally allowed to make backups of the films they use. And the fact that there is a guide on how to convert the SVCD version of LOTR into a DVD is proof of that! Don't get me wrong, I understand the legal implications of a web site openly stating that they condone illegal piracy but lets have a bit more openeness.

I don't think anyone is beating around the bush. Doom9 is just trying to make sure the quality of the forum is maintained.

Everybody knows mow much we paid (or didn't pay) for the programs we use, just as we all know that "backing up DVDs" may as well be a code term. That's not the point. We're here to learn, not to praise or condemn each other about our methods of obtaining software or what we do with those programs.

There are plenty of places to get ahold of software and the quality of those places is horrible (to be nice about it) because they are "open" and don't "beat around the bush" about what's going on. It'd be a shame if that ever happened to this forum.

Cheers.

p.s. I don't mean to sound as if I'm ragging on anybody, we're all friends here, it's just my two cents. :-)
