Hi,

I set up this settings for audio in gknot;
" MP3, Custom Parameters (Experts)"
And since the "Lame box" (where u enter the strings) always shows 128, i dont usually change the strings if i wanted audio 128kb/s. But somehow after every encoding my audio bitrate is always lower than 128kb/s:confused:
This is really weird since i didnt change the strings at all (cause it was already 128, which is exactly what i wanted).
What went wrong?

1 more question;
What is better to use with Gknot? Vdub (like Doom9's guide) or nandub (like the help guide in Gkont)?

Thanks...

nothing ;).
with lame abr it's normal that you end up with an average bitrate slightly below then what you aimed for.

what's better or not is a matter of taste, you have to find out yourself (read the forum rules ;) ).
vdub is for encoding with divx4/5 (actually any codec), nandub is for divx3 only.
nandub is a special tool for audio as well. no matter what video codec you choose, use nandub for muxing.

If you choose 160kbs you'll end up with something like 156.
So I guess choose 130-134.

I chose 160 and ended up having 148 but its a good thing (for this rip) for the rest of my ripping calculation.
My guess is if u want 128 u better choose something like 140, but 130-134 would be pretty close ;)

l8!
