i'm having trouble encoding an avi file, when i try try to convert avi to vcd using the vcd template it gets to 99% encoding the temporal wav file then crashes but if i use the dvd pal template it converts the file giving me the files i need but when i use these files in BBMPG the video file hasn't encoded properly. The properties of the avi file as follows Audio Format mpeg layer 3 160 K/bits 48000 stereo
Video Format 576*240 125638 frames 23.976 frames/sec 136 Kb/sec.
If anybody can point out where i'm going wrong it would be much appreciated. Thanks

you would need to first extract the wav with virtual dub, and then use that as the audio source--TMPG usually doesn't like MP3 audio. try that, or what might be a better option is using besweet and besweet gui--there should be a guide here, or if not, vcdhelp.com
