Hi i've been a DVD2SVCD user since a long time and this brand new version is great but there is a bug i've detected, when you select the create new folder... option the program asks for the name you put it and it goes normally but when it arrives to CCE the process stops because the folder CCE is looking for is the last used, not the just created and if you've gone out or sleeping you'll come back and see your pc on and CCE opened searching for the files, have you experienced this?

Why would you create a new folder and move a program into that when selecting the program to use CCE? You need to install the program and use the program where it was installed.
That is not where the programs are stored that is where you select the executable. You must be using the wrong selection to save since I tried and you cannot create a new directory when selecting the save file folder. You can only do this when selecting the executable and there is no reason you would ever want to do this.
Are you talking about the set folder structure on the misc tab?
I am really confused, because like I said the only place I can find that you can create a directory within DVD2SVCD is when you are selecting executables and not when you are selecting folders for files.
Do a print screen and post it if you think I am wrong. I want to see what you are talking about.

in the misc tab there is a menu called set default output folder, after there is another with set folder structure, in that one you can set the "tree" for your encodes no mater where they are ripped and even for the multiencodes because it ceates a new stucture everytime.
example
rip1
encode
xxx
xxx
rip2
encode
xxx
xxx
you dont create any of the folder the stucture is created by d2s the only folder that you create is the rip one.
hope it helps.
( another thin if you are using xp or win 2000 you sould be log with admin rights )

I was about to post about this when I saw this thread. I have noticed that the new version does not save the old settings as the older versions did. Example:
I have the movie ripped to drive F:
I have the bin/cue files go to drive D:
I have the rest of the files go to drive E:
In the older versions this setup would stay until I physically changed the settings in the new version if I rip and encode and set the settings this way its fine. However if I set it to ripping only and then go back to encode later, the settings change. When I go back to encode the files later all the directories change to drive F:
Unfortunately this forces me to redo the entire encode because i run out of space on drive F:
I wasn't sure if this was a bug introduced or if this was by design.

it seams it was on purpose because of the many new features that the new version have .
Then it is not a bug it seams to be an intecional chage so ppl with difetrent setting not supported by the soft dont post " this or that dont work "

Ok i think you misunderstood the topic:
1.- i never use the dvd2svcd foldrer to encode, i always encode to another hd, example D:\movies
2.-When i processs a new movie i have to erase all the contents of the last movie on this folder, after the burning process of course, and the program settings don't change, the default folder is always D:\movies, BUT with this version i thought i could let my last movie complete on the hd and process another one in another folder automatically, if i couldn't burn the last one and i need to process another one without changing misc settings, so i had the idea of making several svcds until my hd is full, generating several folders with different names as movies are, but the surprise was that the program only creates a new folder for the ripped files and when cce starts it's looking for the files on the last folder used, i mean, the classic misc settings folder so it doesn't work, is that clearer now???
I'm still thinking it's a bug or am i the mistaken one, please explain it to me???

here is what you can do with this version:
exemple you have this defaut folder stucture :
source for the vobs
audio
video
muxed
subs.
you have tree dvds that you whant to convert, so you go to dvdrip and select activate dvdrip and also select new default folder when ripping starts.
nor you go and rip movie nš 1. you hit go, then you get two options rip and encode or only rip, you select this one rip only, after a pop up will apear and ask you to whitch folder you whant to rip, so you make folder one, and so on. when you have finished and you whant to make all of the dvds you simply go to start,dvd2svcd menu and hit dvd2svcd batch file.
