DV help needed please.

Hello, I have read many guides and would like to know what is the best method to run a DV avi through CCE, i have tried going from Premier and encoding direct, but the results are not acceptable, even with 3 passes, very grainy and not good all around. I have tried running a DV AVI direct through CCE but it says that it cannot find the correct codec for DVSD. Is there a codec available for it? Also i here that you can use virtualDub to frameserve for CCE, but VirtualDub will not accept the AVI either, and also i cannot find a guide that shows HOW to use virtualdub to frameserve. Any help from someone that has actually done DV to DVD successfully with HIGH quality would be much appreciated. I have encoded MANY MANY DVD 9s to 4.7s with CCE, and the quality is unmatched by anything i have seen yet!

I used it only once but there is an apparently good DV codec (trial)at http://www.mainconcept.de/

It worked to decode a DV avi captured in Premiere 6.0 in my CCE 2.5. Just install it and CCE 2.5 will call for it when needed. Can't vouch for the quality really but my trial of 1 shows it to be OK.
