Good day,
I just saved a dvd2avi project and I get a .mpa file instead of an AC3. How do I encode this to a good quality mp3 file ?
Btw the movie I am ripping is 'Festen', this movie was recorded with mono sound.

MPA -> WAV with WinAmp
WAV -> MP3 with Lame
Or use BeSweet: directly MPA -> MP3

Hi, just got the same problem with DVD from Legends of the Fall.
I think i once read somewere using WinAmp can cause audio-sync problems (i could be wrong though)
So is it possible to make the wav with graphedit?
Or how would you open a mpa in besweet? (using Gui v0.6)?

solution is inhere:
1) Open your mpa file with Graphedit,
2) Delete the last filter of the graph ( sorry, but as I am not at home, I can't check that so I don't remember its name ),
3) Add the two following DirectShow filters : "WavDest" and "FileWriter", and don't forget to give a proper name for the final wav file with the ".wav" extension, although you still can correct this when the conversion is done by simply renaming the file,
4) Connect the pins of these filters with "FileWriter" at the end,
5) Click on Graphedit's "Play" button,
6) Wait a few minutes, but be carefull as there is no progress bar in Graphedit, the easiest way is to wait until the "Play" button becomes available ( it's desactivated while the conversion ), or just look at the IDE LED on your tower ( no more disk activity means that the conversion is done if no other program is accessing files ),
7) You're done ! don't you think that simply using BeSweetGUI/OggMachine is easier :
1) open your mpa file with BeSweetGUI
2) transcode :)

oh, yes !
i went to dEUS shows twice. the first time it was short after they released "worst case scenario" (1995?), the last time was after "the ideal crash" (couple of years ago..).
and there are more rock bands i really love that comes from belgium :D.
