Can anyone get the ogg steeams to work on the BBC site?

http://support.bbc.co.uk/ogg

I can't seem to get any working. BBC says its up and running, any tips for getting this going? Local ogg files work fine.

I've tried a few players all fail.

If its any consequence I'm on a NATed DSL connection but have no firewall or proxies in the way.

Yes I have tuned in to the stream off and on for the last year or so with very little problem. Winamp connects and plays just fine.

EDIT: Also keep in mind that all the streams listed are not always up and going. Only durring their broadcast will they be availible. The Live streams being non specific and "live" tend to always be up. :)

I got it working with winamp and the plugin. :)

Anyone know of any other 'hidden' BBC sites? Perhaps with decent video broadcasts ;)

Video? Nope. I would be interested as well. The BBC news streams have been interesting of late. A different perspective from what we often get here.

BBC news is often critisized in the UK for being biased, however I think all news stations are similar in they way they report news in their own interests.
I remember, after Sept 11, reading a lot of Russian and mid eastern newspapers and the style, tone and content of reporting was totally different. Its nice to get a few view points when it comes to the news.

That is my thought exactly. It is impossible to get news without some sort of bias. Here in America everything has got a good spin put on it for us. We always do the right thing and are never in the wrong. Never anything to question or fear. Everyone is so sheltered. So even if these news broadcasts are biased the oposite direction it should at least help us reach some middle ground near the truth.
