Edit: 2 strange probz! :scared:

Hi guys.

FIRST PROB
If I encode using a vbr single pass only, everything is ok.
But when I try to use the multipass method, sometimes, I receive this message:

cce encoding failed: CBR VBV ovf frame #47512 (00:31:40:13) P 15488(1.5)max 10513.50(1.1)rel 4974.50 1.47 qsv 62.00->60.84

What the hell does it mean?!?!!? I can't understand! :confused: :confused: :confused:

SECOND PROB
After 6 different movies encoded, only one is ok!!!
1 ok and 5 all black!!! :(
I can't see anything inside.
The size is ok but there are no images in it!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I'm not following in deep the awesome guides taken from doom (too difficult and too much time for me...).
So i set up only

VBR
MULTIPASS (2 PASS)
AVERAGE BITRATE (2000)
MIN BITRATE (0)
MAX BITRATE (2500)

I'm using CCE 2.62 with XP Windows on a AMD XP2000+, 512Mb ram.

Plz, any suggestion? :)

I just ran into the same error message today...

Are you using AviSynth and a big source file (4GB+)? I was, and as soon as I chopped it into smaller 2GB segments with VirtualDub (direct stream copy), then re-fed it into AviSynth, it went through fine. I still haven't done the final VBR stage yet, but the CBR/VAF encode was ok. It used to have a portion where it went black and had an AVISynth error and now that's fixed.

I was reading thr AVISynth docs and it says OpenDML handles the 4GB+ files. I guess there's a bug somewhere in there...

no m8.
I'm using:
SmartRipper ---> DVD2AVI ---> VFAPI ---> CCE
