I am looking for cheap DVD media with reasonably good quality. Anything available in the East Coast U.S.? Thanks.

Palmtree,
I've had sucess with Judysdeals media (http://7925.adahost.com/dvdr/index.html). I burned the initial 20 with no coasters. And, at about $2 per disk, it's a good deal. Bought another 100 last week. So far, so good.

Try www.pricewatch.com and click Storage/Media.
Back on March 28 I bought 30 Princo DVD-RW's from YesBuy.net through PriceWatch for only $1.90 each plus an attrocious amount of shipping.
I can't say anything about the quality of the discs but the quality of the vendor is maybe lacking. They sent me a UPS tracking number for Apr 3 delivery but it doesn't look like they have even shipped yet.

Don't shot the messenger, a lot of ppl here have said the Princo are really bad for creating SVCD backups and don't work with most players. Sorry

I think DVD-RW in general are maybe not as good for players, but I make only PC data disks so I don't care. But if I can't read my data disks then that is another story.
And since YesBuy.net is not responding to my email the quality of the discs may never matter anyway, since I may never get them. :(
But thanks for your comments. I only shoot messengers on very bad hair days.
