smartripper: 2 angles with movie length

hi everybody

on some dvd's i got there were two angles with movie length (all r2 german dvd's). does anyone know which one i have to select and where the differences are.

on one dvd (shrek) i found a difference. i ripped both angels. one rip contained german text in the begining ('Eine Dreamworks Produktion') the other ripped angle contained english text ('A Dreamworks Produktion'). but that is the only difference i ever noticed. i cannot say anything about other dvd's with 2 angles i had.

does anyone know more?

Hi flooo-

Usually the only difference when both angles are the same length is the openings and endings. If you had checked the end credits of Shrek, then you may have found one was English and the other was German. Usually the movie itself is exactly the same.

I'm more familiar with the R1 titles, and the first angle is always English. I'm not sure about R2 DVDs.
