Hi all!

I see that this board contain lots of ressources and great tweaker :)

Here is my situation ssince i'm a bit lost with subtitles... i'm new at ripping but everything works fine right now except the subtitle (my first try).

So, here we go...

I have ripped the subtitles from the vob an get a .srt file with Subrip (did the OCr correction and so on). Now, my purpose is to create a permanent subtitle to embed it onto the video.

So i ask questions to myself: i've followed the VOBSub guide of Doom9 and i get an error with that. After indexing with Vobsub 1.53 from Vdub, it can't find anything (Cannot read, either locked dvd or truncated/missing files!)

So i tryied to use Vstrip as mentionned but i don't have a stream.lst! I have a .bat and a stream.txt ( i tryied to rename it as .lst but nothing was imported) but that's all...

Anyway, i'm a bit confused since i don't know if i need to convert the .srt to .ssa in order to do what i want...

So, according to my situation, what should be my next step? i have encoded the movie in SBC and get the "final" video part. Is it ok to add the subtitle now and in this case, what should be the setup to embed the subtitle? (direct stream copy or full processing?).

Do i need to re-encode the whole thing to embed the sub directly?

A little help would be welcome :)
