What does this say about the future for MPEG-4?

The future of MPEG-4 is extremely promising. Technologies like the JVT project will eventually be rolled into the MPEG-4 spec, and it's simply the best video compression method in existence today, far far better than DivX/XviD.
It seems some of the posters are mistaking "MPEG-4 simple profile video" for "MPEG-4 the full standard", which is a much, much larger beast, and won't be overtaken by anything for quite some time.
