Why when splitting my AVI's (Divx 4) Why do I always get a larger size for the two parts?

In otherwords, if I split a 1.39gig movie at 0-697mb mark and the other from the 697mb mark till the end of the movie, I end up with one ~700mb section and another that's like 720mb, always much more than 700. The two parts are not overlapping.

Where does the extra space coming from? Is it something to do with the keyframes?

HI!

1.39GIG is not 1400MB so your movie must be oversized,it should be 1.36GIG.Its nothing wrong with your splitting

Ripe73 is correct:

1400MB = 1.3671 GIG
1.39GIG = 1423.36MB

You file is too big to fit on 2 700MB discs
