I posted too soon. It appears to be the Subtitle DS filter!
When I was uninstalling and reinstalling filters, I noticed that the file played fine after XviD was installed, and after the Ogg DS filters were installed... but after I installed the subtitle filter, BOOM, the picture was upside down again.
I've uninstalled the filter, and the .ogm plays fine now, however without subtitle support.
So, is this a bug in the filter, a bug in .OGM, or something else entirely? The wierd thing is the file I made a few days prior which played fine on at least three PCs... odd.

Did some more tests... only seems to happen in combination with XviD. An earlier .OGM with DivX4 video doesn't exhibit the problem. No I wonder if this was the proper forum section to post this :)
