------------
I posted too soon. It appears to be the Subtitle DS filter!

When I was uninstalling and reinstalling filters, I noticed that the file played fine after XviD was installed, and after the Ogg DS filters were installed... but after I installed the subtitle filter, BOOM, the picture was upside down again.

I've uninstalled the filter, and the .ogm plays fine now, however without subtitle support.

So, is this a bug in the filter, a bug in .OGM, or something else entirely? The wierd thing is the file I made a few days prior which played fine on at least three PCs... odd.

Did some more tests... only seems to happen in combination with XviD. An earlier .OGM with DivX4 video doesn't exhibit the problem. No I wonder if this was the proper forum section to post this :)

Hi, I seem to have a different problem with the subtitle plugin - when it's installed, Media Player (6.4) crashes immediately when I try to play any stream (AVI or OGM, with or without subtitles). Using the newest Ogg (0.9.9.0) and subtitle (1.1.2.2) filters. I didn't have these problems with 0.9.8.6 and 1.0.0.0 filters. If I now install the 1.0.0.0 subtitle filter, Media Player works, but subtitles are displayed upside-down in pink color. I'm using Win98 SE

if you are having problems with the Subtitle DS Filter the latest Version of DirectVobSub can playback Ogm muxed subtitle files with the exception of the html tags that Tobias's has added to his srt support.

well im having same prob.

install vorb and sub ds filters and xvid.

mux xvid + eng ogg + jap ogg + eng srt + chapter= can only be played in xp.

in 98se wmp6.4 crashes immediatly refering to subtitds.ax
uninstalling subds lets it play but without subs.

but when i open it up in xp, created in 98se, its plays perfectly.
now this would be great if everyone used xp. but my machine realy doesnt like it, it will lock up about 30mins after boot. so no chance of watching movies. so its 98se for me.
if this prob could be rectified i would greatly appreciate it.

i understand its still pretty new but hey, things get better when they get fixed one bug at a time.
