Temporal Smoothing ?

Hi, thanks in advance for any feedback.

I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of any info on the Temporal Smoothing option in DVD2SVD.

I choose it for the first time today and instead of the usual 1.435 x real-time encoding that I usually get in CCE it went down to 0.814 almost double the time.

I don't mind the process taking longer if there is a BIG benifit to this option but otherwise I don't think I'll bother as it adds 4 -5 hours to the process when doing 4 passes VBR.
