I was working with Bandits. After stripping all excess audio, subtitles, etc. it was still about 200meg too big. I also couldn't just skip the credits because they are combined in the last chapter with the ending. Here is a method to cut it:
I played the last vob (PowerDVD) and saw that I could cut about 20% of it (credits played for about 30 seconds or so). With IFOEdit, I did Get VTS Sectors, etc. then VOB Extras. When the last VOB was at about 82% completed, I clicked on Cancel. IFOEdit continued to process and update. I got a couple of error messages (End of Movie not correct and the normal ones), but clicked OK through them. Then used GET VTS Sectors a couple times until it was clean. I then had to reset the starting point (it started about 5 minutes into the movie).
To do that (using IFOEdit) I edited the VTS_01_0.IFO. In the Top Window, double-click on VTS_PGCITI. This will expand a sub-folder named VTS_PGC_1, click on it. Now go to the bottom window and scroll down to where it says "Program_1:Entry Cell Number" and change to 1.
Saved and Burned. It plays fine and fits (although just barely) on one DVD. I hope this helps someone....just wanted to payback for all I have learned on this (and the IFOEdit) forum.
