Can I use the Hollywood Plus DirectShow Filter w/ Zoom Player to play DivX on my TV if I'm running WinXP, since I cant use DivXPlus or HHPlus?? I tried constructing a GraphEdit file, but could not connect the 'XForm Out' from the DivX Decoder Filter to the 'Video In' on the Hollywood Plus DirectShow Filter.

Please Help!

Thanks,

-Simon

EDIT:

ok apearantly, the reason i could not connect the output from divxdec into the hplus ds filter is because it only accepts mpeg2 (and ac3)streams, not yuv streams, but this confuses me a little because here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19068) emp3r0r basically said that this filter is some kind of alternative to divxplus for those who want to run divx to tv in xp.

and here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17349) macdaddy also mentioned the hplus filter working for rendering divx thru the card:

in answer to your question, we have covered alot of that stuff in two different threads. There are essentially two filters required to make this work-the hprender filter (which allows you to use the tvout chip of the h+ as the render device), and the directshow resize filter (which resizes the divx to television resolution)...

hp render info (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13976)

directshow resize info (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13578)

has anybody actually viewed divx with the hplus direct show filter w/o using divxplus?? i would really like to make this work since divxplus wont work under winxp.

any help would be appreciated

thanx
