Hey Guys,

I have to admit that I am new to this copying of DVD's thing. Okay, so I am trying to copy The Heist. The size of the original is 5.04GB, I ripped it to the HD and ran IfoEdit on it and removed Vob ID's 5 & 6 which contained the trailer, etc. I got the size down to 4.6GB but it still doesn't fit on a Blank, when I run the "Check DVDR Size" option I get that I am exceeded the sixe by 232MB. I dont know what to do to get the size under the limit to fit on the 4.7GB. I am assuming that 4.7GB isn't the exact size of the blank, probably somewhere between 4.3-4.4GB.

Has anybody successfully ripped this and gotten it to fit on a DVDR? I don want to re-encode it, I figure if I go through all of that I may as just well purchase the original. Any help guys?

try removing some audio files if u haven't already. If u have then try to remove the end credits but i doubt it will kill 200mb.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I stripped the foreign audio and the subbies except for the english versions which got the size down to 4.6 (along with VOB ID's 5 &^ removed). How can I remove the end credits?

smart ripper, and do file mode....and i think at about 60 % stop it, and the creditz should have been taken out

Sorry, I didn't see your post until I had already posted my method to handle this (so I can't answer it here). I had the same problem. Check it out and I hope it helps.
