I made a XSVCD and find that intermittently the audio drops out for a half a second followed by a slow-motion like video for a second or so as though the player is struggling to keep up. However, this does not just occur in scenes with high-motion. I made it with CCE 2.5 and burned with VCD Easy 1.09 at 2x rate. It was a 3-pass encoding with average bitrate of 2400 (1500-3500) and 224kb/s audio. I have tested my player (Apex-1500) with CBR XSVCD up to 4000kb/s and it works fine. This, and the fact that it occurs in low-motion scenes leads me to think that it is not due to overloading the player's decoder. Does anyone have any idea about the cause of this and how to fix it?
