Please change your hotmail address to a ISP one.
I am going to slowly phase out free email providors because they give me nothing but grief!
Sry, but thats the way its gotta be.

well.. there's good and bad ones.. the one I use (ifrance) has virus filters and doens't block useful mail.. but the major ones are almost all crappy and I'm fully behind kaizen on this one... we have to make sure we don't drown in email because some email services block all email sent by the board.

I've disabled the filter in hotmail and all works very fine...
If this is your decision... i think i must accept this :(
thanks for answering :)

I've used 2 yahoo adresses, but will stop it, because they will stop free POP forwarding :( . So, I'll stick with my ISP and web.de emails for now...

Si, è vero... mi dispiace solo che su alcuni tool che ho fatto come riferimento c'è l'indirizzo di hotmail...
E' più comodo checkkare solo un indirizzo... ma mi dovrò adeguare

Well...after not changing my details for sooo long, I just have, and noticed that i had to change my email...which kinda gave me the shits. Even though I hate hotmail, its the one I use and everyone knows that one, as well as msn messenger tells me when i have new email :)
So i had to change to my university account (as i dont have a ISP or whetever). I dont know the REAL reason why the free email things are banned, but the one i read is because it treats the forum emails as spam...which it only does that if the user makes it treat it like spam...BUT anyway, that was my little bitch :)

You can always register an account with Libero (italian e-mail "provider"), with false data (i think 99% of the people do this :)), and use this e-mail with this and other forums
Is it ok now?
Sorry but i don't like your tone :( (no flame is intended!, but i say what i think ALWAYS)

my isp uses a virus and spam filter so any e mail i get from this forum gets filtered out as bulk mail anyways. i had never in my life given a forum my isp e mail address till i had to for this one. i think most isps are going to go with filters soon, though some dont because their users think someone is reading the e mails in order to filter them, some poeple arent too bright.

I still use my hotmail address here, what kinds of email are blocked. I know I still get thread subscription notification, but what have I been missing?
If anyone is looking for a free POP based mail account, you might want to check out Compustream.net. It has both pop and web based mail accounts for free. I signed up for it about a month ago with the intention of migrating my main account from hotmail to compustream, but kinda forgot about it. Still, I checked it for the first time moments ago and didn't have one peice of spam. This isn't too surprising, considering I haven't used the address anywhere yet, but it's alot more than I can say for a hotmail account.
I don't like using my isp email address because I've changed ISPs 6 or 7 times in the last 5 years. Free email accounts can also change (read fold) at any moment, but they have more longevity than my ISPs.

FYI, yahoo have only disabled free pop forwarding/pop access (when subscribed to yahoo delivers) for .com. the regional ones still have the free pop.

If you guys want a good email provider check out www.fastmail.fm basic use is free, but you can upgrade to the level of service you want. I haven't recieved a single spam since I switched there from hotmail, even though I've given out my new email to quite a lot of places. It's also very easy to find the culprit if I would get spam, as I always states my email as serverATmyusernameDOTfastmailDOTfm, and it is very easy to just cut of that particular address.
www.emailaddresses.com is also a very good place for email info.

since hotmail addresses have been banned, i have checked my hotmail email less often, i find it annoying that in order to edit my profile I had to change my email address from hotmail.com.
just my 2 cents.
