I have an avi file that has some weird audio that I can't play. It plays in my friend's computer, so it is good, but I just don't have the codec. Where can I find how to determine what codec it is using? Or where can I find a lot of audio codecs to install and try it by trial and error? I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

If you load this file in Windows media player 6.4 on your friends PC you can see what codec its using.
When its playing, goto file then properties then advanced and have a look there for the filters in use.
If you want a load of codecs, have a look around the interne for the tsunami codec pack. It has audio and video ones.
Good luck

I tried looking at the audio codec that it was using on my friend's machine, and all windows media player told me was unknown codec. :( I'll look for the Tsunami pack, thanks.
