Quick question Doom9-

Are those the exact settings that you used to encode VP4 with the two movies? Or did you play with the quality slider or anything else?

umm... there is no compression slider. and yes.. all the numbers and settings and scripts on the first page should be accurate but of course to err is human and despite checking everything twice I'm not immune to errors.

Well in general we term it as a quality slider. But technically it is not a slider like quicktimes encoding interface. There is said slider but not within VD. A newer version of VP4 more then likely will solve that. Perhaps I can coherse some peeps into implementing that within VD so you can get better results.

Next question though...you mentioned that you talked to people about the confusion over the frame rate output and speed of compression and they did not have an answer. I am in direct contact with the people who would have the answer (esp since you used the "quality" compression setting). If you would like some answers to questions about the codec send a mail my way and I can give you some info on the questions.
