Hi, i'm not sure of bitrate that i have on my svcd.
My dvd is 2h and 55 minute and i set on bitrate 3 cd of 800.

My pc is win2000 with 2 processor 1.7GB 1Gb of RAM and 140GB of free HD

This is the log of tmpgenc:

My question: at the end of work i have a file.mpg that i can write on 3 cd's of 700MB?

Sorry, i'm a newbie.

I read first Q&A, the guide and a thread you say me and i use this setting for tmpgenc.

My problem is this: the guide say that in label bitrate cd size 800 = a cd of 80 minutes or 700 Mb.
I leave default setting and i rip a dvd of 175 minutes and in bitrate i set 3 cd of 800.
I have encoded_video.mpv of 2.4gb and when bbmpeg muzing and cutting create mpg of 820mb!!!
So i must setting 3 cd's of 690 to have 3 mpg of 700Mb that i can write on cd.
Right?

Thanks

You should be able to just change the "800" to "700" and then you can burn the images on a 650meg cdr.

Is the file 820 MB or 820,000 KB? A file of size 820,000 KB will fit on an 80 minute CD without problems.

If the file size is actually 820 MB, then you need to change the file size in the bitrate tab to something like 785 MB to make it fit.

My latest encode had a file size of 805 MB and fit on an 80 minute CD without overburning.

Hope this information helps.

If my memory serves me correct its 806mb is the max size that will fit on a 80 minute cd.

Remember that 820,000KB is not 820MB. It is closer to 800mb.
A file size of 807mb is suppose to fit on an 800mb CD-R without overburning, but I always try to keep the files at 806mb or below for an 80 Minute CD-R disc. Usually DVD2SVCD will create a filesize 6mb larger then the size you set for the CD-R in the bitrate tab.
