Hi all

1.
When I am encoded a VCD (using TMPG) and made 10 seperate mpgs from it , and used NERO 5.5 to burn it with a menu (and 0 seconds delay between chapters), the final VCD plays fine in my standalone DVD but in every chapter start (each mpg) there is a small freezing (1 second or less). should this happen ?

2. I took 1 mpg with the whole movie and tried to use the chapterExtractor+VCDeasy. everything worked fine except for the burning - I have ricoh 7125a and I tried to use the general-mmc driver , but anyway, the BIN image was created successfully so I tried to use it, but since NERO doesnt know this format I converted it to ISO and burned the ISO using Nero.
The CD was unreadable in my computer - when clicking the Drive letter in the explorer I got an error message... is this because I converted the BIN to ISO? couldnt this mess up the VCD format? I've used converted BIN files and they burned fine...
does the produced VCD (using VCDeasy) has chapters that doesnt freeze?
what program should I use to burn the BIN - is there some recomended program?

thanks in advance,

ofir

The first method you mentioned will always result in pauses. Those are not chapters they are tracks.

The second method you used will work correctly if burnt properly. Converting bin to iso is not a good idea and I have heard of this corrupting the disk image. Actually nero will burn bin images, though this probably isnt the best program to use. If you go this route simply go file/burn image, tell it to show all files and then point it to your cue file. It should autodetect what parameters to use but if it doesnt then select mode 2 and start burning.

Personally I think the best program for burning bin and cues is cdrwin. The free demo version can do everything its just locked at 1x but its a relatively cheap program. You can also use fireburner.

If you want a good freeware burning program use CDRDAO.
