Now, don't get me wrong. I really like DVD2SVCD. It just that some DVDs refuse to give in to it...
One example is Planet Of The Apes (R2, French authored). I ripped it using internal routines, and DVD2SVCD could only find the French subtitles, even though I had Greek selected. Whatsmore, DVD2SVCD soon crashed while trying to extract them (French subtitles). I tried with Vstrip, same thing happens. Hmmmm, me thinks, let's try SmartRipper.
So, I rip the DVD to disk using SmartRipper, choosing only English soundtrack and Greek subtitles in Stream Proccessing. Then I started DVD2SVCD and pointed it to the ripped files and everything went fine! Greek subs where found and extracted, no crashes, no trouble. Planet Of The Apes conquered!
I use SmartRipper to rip DVDs ever since and then use DVD2SVCD and never had any trouble again. But I'm puzzled as to why this might be happenning.
Any comments? Cheers to all.
