The Meritline DVD-R's work good for me at $1.98/disk @25pack. But I can only burn at 1x on My A03 but I don't mind waiting if it saves me $2-$3 a disk :) Movies play fine on my Apex AD-600A, and Sony DVP-CX860

I'm a little worried about all the bad I hear about these 2 dollar purple disks, I'd hate to order them and find out I'm out money, but I may get the courage up to try, I was gonna order the DVDR's from Apple, there 3 dollars more a disk but I know they would be good quality

dont your money paying for a name brand... I havent burned one bad disc from http://store.yahoo.com/cd-recordable-dot-com/dvdrcdrw.html ... Ive burned like 30 dvd's (lost count). Tested on 6+ dvd players.. Using primo, they all worked great. (nero sucks)

I too was skeptical. Especially since my player is the DVD-R finicky Panasonic RP56. But the Meritline cheapies worked fine for me and the RP56. Boy did I wipe a bead of sweat off my face! I had previously tried Mitsui and Verbatium DVD-R and they didn't work. Thought I had to eBay off the RP56, but it all turned out ok. The thing you have to remember is like with CDR in the old days, you have to try different brands here and there and find one your player likes.
