I am getting a windows 2000 stop message

Here is whats been happening. I am burning a dvd and towards the end with about 11 minutes to go the dvd pops out, the screen goes blue with a stop message and the computer automatically restarts. this is a first after burning about 6 dvd-r (coasters but thats besides the point). I didnt get a chance to write down the stop screen because it goes away after 5 seconds when the computer restarts. Thinking this was a fluke, i burned a dvd-ram disc just fine after and everything went smooth. Then i tryed burning another dvd but this time i had to go out. I came back and the same thing had happened but it must of happened after it completed the burn process because the dvd was fine (my first playable dvd actually). had anyone had this problem. I am really sorry if I cant remember the stop message. man, when windows 2000 acts up, it really acts up.

I am thinking it was some kind of software I may have installed. winDVD 3 is the latest one i installed and been having problems since. not sure
