Got a small problem but very close

Since ive successfully burned a home video dvd, i ve gone back to try and copy a dvd. The problem i kept having was that the dvd player would say error, invalid disc or something. so I tryed the same exact thing I did with my home videos. I ripped the dvd using smart rip, then used IfoEdit09 to make an image of the ripped files. then burned the dvd using InstantVOB. here is my problem, when I put the dvd in the dvd player, it recognises the DVD and says DVD but it stalls and doesnt do anything. I have to hold the power button down for 5 seconds to reset the dvd player. What can this be?

when i put the dvd in a dvd-rom and using winDVD, it loads but i have to push play to start. I am so close to figuring this out. can anyone suggest what to do. thanks

Your last couple of threads have had titles that didn't clearly state the subject. If you'd work on that a little bit, it would help those of us with slow speed modems determine if we should read your posts or not.
