WMP8 is not ideal to play DVD in that fast forward / rewind during a film playback doesn't seem to work, so you need to do it manulally by coming out of full screen mode.

Does anyone know a nice viewer that can play full screen, and allow pressing keyboard keys to fast forward, rewind, pause and play a film; preferably one that can run automatically, and start the film in fullscreen mode, without having to ALT+Enter?

Thanks.

Or you can use ZoomPlayer i think there is for every function a HotKey.

When using CHAPTERS on SVCD's ( not regular DVD's) PowerDvd 4.0 has a nasty habit of giving you about 1 sec of the first chapter whenever you switch chapters - Say if you want to go from Chapter 7 to Chapter 8 in an SVCD .. PowerDVD gives you about 1 sec of chapter ONE and THEN switches to chapter 8. WinDVD does not do that .. Other than that it's a great program as is WINDvd ..

I use Mediamatics DVD Player that came with my computer and I like it cuz you just have to move your mouse to a side of the screen and the little menu pops up with the controls at the bottom... you click outside the menu and it dissapears while the movie is still playing.
I don't know if you'd want that though cuz I don't think it has keys corresponding to the buttons...it might though...
