help required please dvd2svcd /vcd

I am very new to the art of copying dvd. I have ripped a couple of films to my hard drive could some one please tell me how i can copy them to cd with the use of a normal cd rewriter.or if that isn`t pos want do i need to do

Well...There are couple of methods you can use. Depends on what you want.
You can have divx movies or vcd/svcd. It all depends on you. If you want the first one - try Gknot - very easy if you follow Doom9's guide. If you want vcd/svcd you can use DVDx or dvd2svcd.
Once again - choice is yours. Read Doom9's guides on each of the topics and decide what's best for you.
