Hard disk are getting cheaper,today you can get 650mb of hd storage at about 1$, and will be true rewritable storage.

So what about backup DVD on external HD mounted as removable drive(usb or firewire)?

Anyone experienced in this ??

a question to experienced:

the os recognizes big(over60g)hd like removable drives?
i mean out of the ide channels and with hot plugging.
