first dvd rip over 4500mb

Hi there,

I've copied a couple of dvd's that are under 4500mb, and I just finished my first over 4500. The only problem I have is my audio is out of sync with my video. I used smartripper, then I converted my ac3 to wav. them reempeg2.

Any ideas?

I have had the same problem. There are some good recommendations on the IFOEdit forum (here too). What I found that works for me is to keep the video (assume your using DVD2AVI and VFAPI) separate from the audio. Try a small rip of about 3 minutes (or where you can check the lipsync). Do the same for the audio. Put them back together in your authoring program and have a look at it. What has always worked too (although the audio is not as good) is using the video and audio both from DVD2AVI. They have always been in sync for me.
