hello :(
I was wondering if someone got the same problem.
I made subtitles with maestrosbt and add them to the movie
as soon as I compile, maestro crashes. I can't even double click on subtitles, it crashes also.
Tested under xp and win2k with version 2915a and 2914c
not sure but tested also under win2k with 2199 and apcompat
any clue? Or someone got troubles with maestro and subtitles?
Thanks in advance

open the subtitle file in notepad and verify that the file looks ok, other thing to check is make sure you have the right language selected.

you mean the son or spf file? Or before making the subtitles = check the ssa?
because the subtitles I have imported are bmp files.
I have 1453 subtitles.
Is there another way to import them?
(I'm not in front of the computer, I'll check later this evening)
Thanks

uhh, the sample subtitles on the disc are .stl files and are plain text.

make sure you selected
4 bit "uncompressed" bitmaps
in maestrosbt.
I had same problem, but when I changed
to 4 bit uncompressed bitmaps it solved.

8-bit compressed will also work, but there's a bug in SBT right now that causes Maestro to hang if the SBT bitmap clipping is turned on. I'm emailing the author about it now.

hi
finally, thanks.
My error was to use maestrosbt, it works but I didn't test (with 4bits uncompressed) since I found another solution.
I'm sure you're right (I'll test this issue), problem is 4 bits compressed.
Finally, the solution was to use .stl, fortunately I have a little script which convert srt to stl and works fine.
I used subtitle studio 2 (nice software)to join 2 .sub files then I saved the new subtitle in .srt then converted it, and that works fine fine fine.
Thanks to you all helpfull people.
