I cannot get this damned program to work no matter what I do!

Sometimes, no matter what I do that is normal to the first version, I get an error mentioning that the size has to be divisible by 4. I do the EXACT same thing that I did for Xmpeg 4.2a and it doesn't work on the newest version. Then sometimes it stops encoding at the 18,384 KB file that gets output-ed.

And sometimes it will start the second pass and then stop somewhere in there.

I'm using the same shit as before on Xmpeg 4.2a and it doesn't seem to work.

Has ANYONE gotten this to work perfectly?

If so, please post your config.

thanks,

chip

actually i've gotten that error.. multiple by 4 crap.. It' has to do with the size of the frame and crop.
It's an error that sometimes happens for no reason at all.

i set my with and height at 720 x 480 29.97fps, and i use auto crop. If that gives me that gay error than i manually move the crop thingy around a few times.

What's weird about 4.31a is that sometimes it decodes the sound and sometimes it doesn't.. Pisses me off.

The people at XMPEG keep releasing non-working
versions of XMPEG. The ones that work, work very well
XMPEG V4.2a works perfectly every time.
XMPEG V4.31 does not work at all (but I did grab the
AMD optimised idct from V4.31 and use it in V4.2a)

I am using 2 pass encoding and DiVX v5

Am just about to see if V4.5 works now

Get Xmpeg v4.5

It works great!!

I think they have solved the output video resolution problem that it has to be divisible by 4.

try it out
