Subrip doesn't ask for any letters

I've downloaded subrip 0.97b and it's quite different to the one in the guides. There isn't a bmp options after I've ticked the vobs. When I start it it just saves about 300 bmp files and doesn't ask me for any letters. Where have I gone wrong guys? I have used the same settings as in the guide I'm sure. Thanks.

Edit: ah forget it, let this one go down to the depths of hell.
